Post by: Marshal Dillon on July 20, 2020, 05:49:26 PM
Baseball starts on Thursday with a 60 game schedule for the season. Anybody excited or do we even make it to the end of the season?

I am happy to see the return of MLB.  I've watched a couple of the summer camp games and even without fans in the stands, it's still MLBB.  Some teams look ready to play; others not ready.  Any team that gets off to a slow start will be in trouble.

I think they will make it to the end of the season.  The testing protocols seem to be working so far.  I do wish they would sit further apart in the dougout.

PLAY BALL!!!

The Braves pre-season game yesterday had them trailing 8-1 going into the bottom of the 8th. The Braves scored 8 runs in the 8th inning to take a 1-point lead.  The Marlins scored again in the top of the 9th to tie it then Matt Adams, as the DH hit a walk-off HR in the bottom of the 9th.  I like the finish but don't like to see them trailing so badly that late into the game.

Could they have been playing minor leaguers as well as regulars? RTR!

No, they played their starters.
