Title: "NFL Draft will go ahead, but not in Vegas"

https://www.kxan.com/sports-general/silver-star-nation/nfl-draft-plan-changed-for-vegas/

"The clubs’ selection of players will proceed as scheduled April 23-25. The NFL is exploring innovative options for how the process will be conducted and will provide that information as it becomes available. The selection process will be televised. Public NFL Draft events in Las Vegas next month will not take place. ..."

Hadn't thought about it until I read this report, but I guess Tua made the right decision.  Now he gets time for a full recovery.

It will be strange watching the draft and not hearing the commissioner booed.  :lol2:

I'd say "refreshing".  Too bad for the players, who likely won't be there in person.  Maybe they can live-video themselves from home.

I think that would be the most likely scenario.

Don't be surprised if some NFL teams, and especially some NBA teams, declare bankruptcy and refuse to pay players.

I'm afraid the airlines will do the same thing, and all of those people (including LF and me) will lose the flights they made us reschedule for summer.  We were supposed to fly to Portland Oregon this week.
 :(

Yes sir the teams could do this and if you look at this in truth. This could make us a 3rd world country again. No money movement will do us in. RTR!

I canceled a flight to Dallas this week. I drove instead. They will credit the cost to a future ticket. I have a year to use it or lose it.

LF did the rescheduling, but I think I understood that you must reschedule soon (there's a window of a few weeks).  Otherwise you get charged the $200 rescheduling fee.

Delta is waiving the reschedule fee but the ticket credit must be used by March 2021.

Ours was with American Airlines, and the date for ticketing also was about a year.
But I'm talking about how long you have to reschedule without being charged the usual $200 fee.  I think that is a few weeks.

I used to fly American every time I traveled for work. They have charged $200 just to change a flight for a long time.  The whole process of changing a ticket takes less than 5 minutes and it opens up a seat for another customer so they really have ZERO justification for gouging the public for that much $$.  I did get an email from AA last week telling me that due to Covid-19 they will be cancelling the $200 change fee for the next 12 months.

We got an email too.  But after LF went on-line and rescheduled everything, selected the seats, chose the times for each flight, entered the codes, etc she discovered that they hadn't removed the $200 charge when it totalled the costs.  So she cancelled and tried again later.

Heard on radio that NBA has applied for a $750 mil loan.
