RTR! Personally, I would rather Bama goes to the NIT than the NCAA as long as they can win a few games there instead of a one-and-done as would likely be the case in the NCAA. At least it gives the team more chances to practice and work on getting better so hopefully they would be better next year... :dunno:But yeah, if they play one NIT game and lose then it may have been better to just let their season end instead... We are playing with a short roster and literally don't have enough warm bodies to spread the fouls around. If you play hard on defense in the SEC, the refs are going to whistle you. Bama was hurt by a couple of bad spells of cold shooting, like the opening of the game and the beginning of overtime. They were also hurt by the lack of rebounding especially with the numerous offensive rebounds by AU which led to points. I truly believe Oats has Bama on the right track. This game could actually have a positive effect on Bama's confidence since they came from so far back against what is supposed to be a top quality team(I really hate making that statement when it comes to AU). I would also like to see them go to the NIT as opposed to the big Dance, as everyone calls it, where they could possibly have more success which could carry over into the next year.
