Title: Alabama vs Kentucky in Basketball Saturday
Post by: Marshal Dillon on January 10, 2020, 07:46:34 PM
Tide plays in Lexington at 11 am on ESPN. UK is #14 with an 11-3 record. They have shown to be weaker than past years but Calipari will find a way to improve their play. Tide is 8-6, RPI 81, UK 42. We have to play a complete game and keep the turnovers down.

Pretty ugly first half.  Bama playing sloppy, lots of mistakes, lots of missed shots.  Down by 12 to KY with 30 seconds left and lucky game is this close.

Bama 35  KY 45  Halftime

Bama hasn't played well, having a hard time hitting 3s, turnovers, but still hustling.

Kentucky 5/8 in 3 point range.

I was watching the game.  But then our cable stopped broadcasting.  Sounds like I haven't missed anything out of the ordinary...

You might want to stop throwing you shoes at the TV.

Good effort.  Shots didn't fall.  I'm not disappointed by Bama's play today.

They fought hard, got the lead down to 3 in the second half, but shots weren't falling.

Kentucky wins.

Cal took a lot of time with Oats and the Bama players there. I gained a little respect for him there.

My power went out in the 2nd half. I was following the score and live stats on my phone. We fought hard in the 2nd half coming back from 13 down to pull within 3 with one minute to go. UK at home is a hard place to steal a win. I believe we got better again today.

Auburn at home on Wednesday. I like our chance in that one.

TV announcers thought the turning point was when our player (Jones?) was fouled driving to the basket to cut the lead to 1 or two points, but it was a no call.  Kentucky went down the court, hit a 3 pointer, and that was ball game.

Well if we win 1 game out of the 4 maybe we won't be on the bottom of ranking in the SEC. RTR!

There was 2 or 3 times the announcer said the Bama player was fouled and no call.  Also, you could coach was not happy with a few no calls.
