He said it’s the first time since 1966 that a team won the national title and went undefeated the following season only to be ranked #3 at the end of the regular season. We all know who that team was.

He's speaking directly to his players -- MOTIVATION. (Probably a lesson he learned from watching Saban.) All this talk distracts from the fact that Vegas has Clemson as a 2 point favorite over Ohio State. Maybe its that Clemson players have been in this game and Ohio State players have not. That might be worth a few points. I would like to see Ohio State lose this game, but I don't think they will. I used to think it would be great for him to take over when Saban retired, but no longer. His act grinds on me.

He's not really whining, he's putting on a show for his players' benefit. He might not be quite as good at it as Saban, but I have to give him credit, the Roy Bus was genius last year, and he's all to happy to play that record again this year. |
