I was a freshman at Alabama. Early the Saturday of TN game day I drove to my date's dorm to get her. The game was in B'ham. "Yes, I have my ticket", she assured me. We got to the game and she didn't have it. I paid a huge amount for a ticket to get her in (she also had no money). We lost 42-21. Yes, that day both the score and the Big Orange sucked! 45 years passed, and I heard she had married a former professor of mine. When he told me he'd married her, I said: "Oh yeah, we dated in college." "WTF??" He wasn't pleased.
