Title: Baseball vs Ball State Post by: pmull on February 23, 2019, 08:21:45 AM Bama beat Ball State 7-1 on Friday night. I cannot believe they got the game in with all the rain we have had. Bama improves to 4-1 on the young season. Sam Finnerty pitched 7 scoreless innings to get his 2nd win of the season.
Game Two of the series is at Noon Saturday and can be seen on SECN+. Quote Alabama got out front early with a three-run first. Senior Joe Breaux led things off with a walk and was followed by Brett Auerbach, with the junior reaching on an infield single. Two outs later, Holcombe sent a single to center to score Breaux for the game's first run. A walk then loaded the bases for Drew Williamson. They will be finishing that game today, followed by the series ender right after that.

Bama leads 2-0 B4 in the second game.

Bama improves to 5-2 on the season and we have won both of our series. Alabama host North Alabama for a Tues-Wed two game mid-week series and travels to Mobile for a their first road series against South Alabama.
