Tide leads 11-8 early at Vandy. I have been watching Tide BB since 1968 and we have always hd problems winning there. It's like a curse. We have had outstanding teams lose there over the years. Kira Lewis, Hall, and Ingram looking good. Our inside power forward, G. Smith out with concussion. 13-11 Vandy then dumb foul by Ingram. Has 2 already & Norris in.

Both teams showing good energy. Each team scoring regularly in the paint. 20-18 Tide.

Good D by Tide around basket, still good energy, 3 turnovers by Tide, 4 by Vandy so that's a positive. Tide 4 off. rebounds, VU 0.

Do they still have coaches at each end of the court?  I thought I remember that they changed that, but I'm not sure?

Vandy on a run aided by Bama turnovers, lead down to 7  7 turnovers in last 10 possessions. Missed shot and Vandy scores lead down to 5.

Good thing Vandy can't hit free throws, 15 for 26.

Bama hasn't scored in over 6 minutes.  65-60.

Norris fouled on a 3 point shot.  His all 3, up by 8.

Norris hits a big 3 and Vandy missed Bama is foulded.  Ingram hits both FT's and Bama up by 9 with 1:17 to play.  They have the ball.

Just got back. We blew 19 point lead. Scoreless for over 6 minutes. We are playing the worst team in the SEC. This crap keeps happening and I am not happy with Coach Johnson. He is in his 4th year. Norris saving us by himself, hits 3 FT's then a 3 point goal. 71-62 now. Ingram hits 2 FT, 73-62.

This is our 2nd win at Vandy since 1990.

Glad to see we got the win.  Wins come hard for Bama at Vandy.

But it sounds like this team still repeats the same mistakes...  mental errors, sloppy passing, taking the foot off the gas and not really finishing games...

This Coach needs to run those players for about 20 minutes then practice the game stuff. They have no discipline what so ever. A Win is a Win. RTR!

It was not Kentucky and Duke but we did have two SEC Conference double digit wins this week. One of those on the road where we have only won once since 1990. I think it was a very good week for Bama Basketball.

In too many games, there seem to be times (plural) when the game gets away from both the team and CAJ, and both take too long to get back into it.  There is some missing 'factor' and it's CAJ's job to figure out what it is and fix it.  I hope he can do that but I'm beginning to wonder.

I think you may have a point. I don't know if CAJ is a college coach or not. The schools you see winning a lot they have college coaches. College and Pro are a lot different. IMO. RTR!

Recruiting rankings for Bama:

2015: 73rd
2016: 50th
2017: 8th
2018: 24th
2019:  18th

It's trending in the right direction, guys.  Junior and senior classes ranked 50th and 73rd in the country might explain a little about our inability to close games out and a loss of focus at times.  Riley's leadership has been key this year after his return.  Guys like Kira and Herb should step that up next year.

The fact that we've won a couple on the road and have recently stopped losing at home, is showing that this team has signs of improvement. Still an uphill climb for them to make the tourny, though.
