Question for you.  At times Hall looks strong going to the basket, then other times he looks like he is afraid he is going to hurt someone going up, do you see this?

Not sure, might be hesitating because he trying to avoid fouling. He is a presence around the basket. He hit a 16 foot fallaway that looked good. Wow!

Nice play with him and Norris.

Tide looking fluid right now with good ball movement and good energy.

Block out, block out, block out! Good play by Smith under basket, 6'9" power forward. He has awful hands and needs real work in that area.

Looks like they have gone from letting the play to the ref's inserting themselves in the game.

MSU killing us with offensive rebounds, just like Baylor did.

Hard to believer Bama is up by 10 when MSU has 11 offensive rebounds.

After leading by 12 at the half, MSU has pulled within 3.

Jones and Hall both in foul trouble with 4.

Run by Bama has them up by 8.  Then gets beat down the floor and MSU converts on a 3 pt play.

Time-out and Bama up by 7 with the ball.  Bama has not made a 3 point shot from behind the arc all night.

Petty hits the first 3 of the night for Bama.  Wish I had said something earlier.

Time out with 7:16 to play and Bama up by 12.

I don't understand why they don't give some pressure on the inbounds by MSU to use more clock.  Doesn't have to be full pressure. Another turnover. Lewis blocks a 3 pt shot that could have tied the game.

WE CAN NOT IN-BOUNDS THE BALL, AGAIN! TURNOVER. Kira Lewis blocks 3 point effort. Hall fouled, makes both FT's. MSU scores. 80-77 Tide, 21 seconds left. Hall shooting FT's. Misses first, makes second. 81-77, Jones rebounds MSU shot, gets fouled. Jones throws up brick, makes second, 82-77, MSU scores 82-79. In-bounds to Hall who hits Jones full stride in breakaway who is fouled so The has FT's and will get ball. Jones hits 1/2. Tide wins 83-79.

Glad for the win.  But this Bama team still gets way too sloppy down the stretch -- MSU came close to tying the game. 

Maybe they should practice, over and over again, simulating the final 5 minutes of a game.   Make them run laps for a few miles before practice.  :unsure:

Maybe we should recruit a guard.  None of these guys can handle a bb.

This team is showing growth this year, IMO.  In the past, we wouldn't have even been in a game when shooting 1-15 from 3-pt land, much less pull out a win.  Before this game we were 1-4 when shooting under 30% on 3s, with a lone win against Murray State.  The losses were against Northeastern, UCF, LSU, and Baylor by a total margin of 36 points.

Hall is becoming a much more rounded player on offense and is even shooting 75% on FTs.  That's big because he gets more FT attempts than anyone on the team.  Petty has shown more ability and willingness to play drive and post.  They ran 4 post plays for him last night.  He does still have work to do on ball security.  Riley has stepped in and provided some leadership and good bench play.

But for the incompetence in coaching at MSU, we'd have lost this game.

More than missing the 3-point shots was our CHOICE to keep shooting them when we had a big lead and 4 minutes to go.

I don't know what it will take to help this team on. I do know that when we played we shot FT's till I thought my wrists would fall off. RTR!
