Title: Alabama vs Baylor in Basketball on Now-Saturday 01/26
Post by: Marshal Dillon on January 26, 2019, 11:08:45 AM
Playing on ESPNU as part of SEC/Big 12 Challenge. Baylor has small starting line-up with 6'5" center against Donta Hall. Baylor living off 3's right now, 13-12. We are killing them under the basket & in paint.

The Butler kid for Baylor originally was going to Bama but changed his mind when Bama signed Lewis.

Tide is eating them alive in the paint and near the basket. Tide 9/12 in FG's, mostly lay-ups or 5 footers. Baylor has an excellent coach so, let's see what adjustments they make. 18-13 Tide.

Can't wait to see SUPERCOACH posting during the game so we can discuss Tide basketball.

6'1" white boy jumped under 6'9" Donta Hall trying to grab rebound and gets elbowed on head. No foul, the guy got under Hall. Starting to dribble too much. 29-26 Baylor. Tide getting a little sloppy, nothing horrible yet.

Tide looking sharp in 2nd half. Good D and passing. Went on 7-0 start to half. 38-37 Baylor. Hall slams ally-pop & is fouled. Hall has scored 7 points in first 3 minutes of half. 40-38 Tide.

Good game, so far. Hall, Norris, Mack, & Lewis have looked good. 63-61 Baylor.

Well, the last 3 minutes of game Tide just seemed lost. Just can not finish. We had some good stretches in 2nd half, but then just disappeared at other times. Tide loses 73-68. Another winnable game escapes from Bama.

Seems like there is to many winnable games we are losing that comes back to coaching in Basketball. RTR!

I'm sick of watching Dazon Ingram throw lazy passes and drive when there's no opening.
He dribbles, then controls the ball with one hand to make a pass.  That indicates to the defense that a pass is coming, and they consistently either make a steal or cover the receiver of the pass when it arrives.  It's just laziness.  USE TWO HANDS FOR PASSES!!

I don't know but I hope if we don't make the big dance we don't go to any other tourney. It is just 2nd place no matter. RTR!

And this is why I don't waste my time watching any more.  Apparently they are having trouble filling Coleman for home games too.  I got an e-mail the other day saying tickets for Ole Miss were buy 1 get 1 free.

I didn't hear all of the discussion, so I may have missed out on whether this was conjecture or reality, but it sounded like Bama didn't get into their hotel until after midnight Saturday morning for an 11am game.  Avery didn't handle the schedule well in the tournament we lost to Northeastern either.  Maybe he needs a staff member to take this kind of thing over for him (or replace the one who is currently doing it).
