Title: Injury Update from Missouri Game
Post by: Marshal Dillon on October 13, 2018, 11:36:34 PM
Quick update by Saban.

Quote
The only injury of any significance on Saturday was the one suffered by wide receiver DeVonta Smith, but it isn't major.

Smith pulled a muscle and will be "day-to-day," Saban said.

Good news that there were no serious injuries.

But it does look like some players are dinged up.  Jalen played well.  I hope Tua gets a break for TN, and then we have a bye week before LSU.

We should be able to put up some numbers on TN hopefully and let Jones take over in the 2nd half and run the ball. RTR!

I would love to see Jalen start against UT, and keep Tua in reserve just in case.  I have no doubt we can win with Jalen and he deserves the opportunity.  We need Tua back to 100% before we get to the LSU game.

I would like that too, but...

I don't think we'll see that after TN beat the Barn.

I'm sure CNS will watch that game film and realize that beating the Barn was no great accomplishment.  :lol2:

Is there an update on Tua

Today (Mon.) Saban said it's the same as last week.  Not expected to miss any snaps in practice.
Translated: "He may lose his leg."

Keep praying.   :dunno:

What happened to the scope

What happened to the scope

No word from Saban about any meniscus, surgery, scope, or anything.

Would he tell the media?  He seldom tells anything short of certainty about players missing a game.  Maybe he decided to leave it in doubt since there is a chance Tua plays against UT.

I'm waiting for further word.  To me this falls under the category of "No data is not data". I'm more worried about what I saw on the field after Tua's slide than anything said since.
