Great feel-good story here. I was among the very disappointed when he got into trouble. Very glad to see him turning his life around and giving back to the community.

Quote
"With my degree being in community leadership, then what I'm doing with my program at the Palmer-Williams Group, it's all coinciding and working all together in one hand," Williams said. "That's what I wanted to do. I wanted to get involved in the community and be a part of what's going on and be a part of the solution and try to find a solution for the problems. I once was part of the problem. I understand the problem side. Now I want to get out in the community and be part of the solution."

"For the simple purpose of being an example..."  Years ago when we started taking in foster kids I would always tell those that were school age that I didn't expect straight "A's" but I did expect their best efforts.  If their best effort was a "C" then I was happy with it but if they were capable of a "B" but only got a "C" then I would not be happy.  When I started college in 2002 I then had to put up or shut up.  Got my Associates degree in 2004 with only one "B" and the rest were all "A's."  Now, I'm not telling that to brag even though I am proud of the fact.  Just simply to express my opinion that SW is doing the right thing the right way.  We need more adults setting the right example...
