TUSCALOOSA | The Alabama football team began on-field preparations for the Florida Gators Monday. Here are some observations from the media viewing period:

*** Linebacker C.J. Mosley, who has an injured elbow from the Arkansas game, went through individual drills. UA coach Nick Saban had said Mosley would likely miss a couple of practice days this week, so it is likely that Mosley was limited in his participation Monday.

*** Running back Eddie Lacy (toe) also went through individual drills. Lacy is expected to participate fully in Tuesday's practice.

*** Among the top Florida players that the UA staff saw fit to match scout jerseys on its scout team were Gators LB Jelani Jenkins (#3), WR Andre Debose (#4), and RBs Chris Rainey (#1) and Jeff Demps (#28).

*** Alabama practiced in shorts Monday.

I would not be surprised to see him play.  They can brace it up and if he can handle the pain he may be able to go.

His whole forearm was twisten over 180 degrees.  If he has to play its because others were not capable.

I don't want to be gruesome, but what does this mean?  Was his elbow hyper-extended to the maximum possible (forearm backwards against the upper arm)?

Early reports said he would not practice this week or play against Florida. I thought this was good news, CJ Mosley going through individual drills today.
