We are getting some injured D players back which will help.  Bama needs both O and D to 'jell'.  Communication issues need to be solved and hopefully were this week in practice.  May be difficult to sustain drives vs. Vandy's D, but that's what O needs to do.

What will  happen?

Bama will win.  I don't think Vandy has the offense to compete with Bama.  It will be a feisty Vandy team like some years ago, and probably the game will be closer than projected.

Well, it's predictable.  Our CRS group will start out with great confidence, a subset of CRS will lose confidernce with the first penalty or 3-and-out, start complaining despite we're ahead by 10 points, and question every call that doesn't lead to a TD.  We win easily, because we have the better team and better coach.

My day so far is grrrreat!!!  And it's gonna get better.  And I believe Bama will win this game.  But that wasn't the question.  How will the O and D perform? Will special teams have to win the game? That's what I want to find out.

GREAT!  I've been up since 4:30, already bought 4 knives at a flea market, pulled weeds from the flower bed, replaced a burned out bulb to keep LF happy, cleaned the garage, had 2 cups of coffee, an orange, and a glass of juice.

Today the O-line opens holes, Jacobs catches swing passes, the D-line occupies the Vandy linemen so our LBs can sack the QB, and we win without the special teams.  Vandy doesn't turn over the ball, but we still win by 25:  35-10. 

Life is good.  We're riding the crest.

And for those who keep celebrating Coach Bryant, today's game reminds me of one of his WORST coaching jobs.  In 1969 Vandy beat us 14-10.  It started the DECLINE that lasted 2 years.

Well I will be the first to admit it. I think, even thought I know better, that we should win ever play and score every time we touch the ball. We were coached at Ranburne to win every play and if we got beat we heard it all week. So now, I still love out school, players and team. I hope the pesky lil vandy bunch gets swatted in 1st half so I can fuss at the 2nd, 3rd, and water boys in the second half. RTR!

We went to the game.  I expected a win.  NOT like this!You got the sense in the stadium that our guys had a mission.  They accomplished it.  ROLL TIDE!!!

I just got home from watching the game with a group of alums up in Gainesville.  So I'm late to the CRS party.  Nevertheless... I hereby repent, confess, grovel and apologize for doubting how this Bama team would play in this game.  I was longing to see a complete performance and...well that's what we got.

MD -- I'd add the playoff game vs. Mich St to your list.  Today's game may be the most dominating performance since that one.

Season openers v. USC, Michigan in Dallas.

I watched three of those, and was at the 2008 Auburn game. This was different. Total control on both sides of the ball, very few mistakes, no costly penalties, few negative plays.

I was at the 1973 games.  The win against VT (VPI then) was the most dominating game I'd ever seen.  We were ahead by 7 TDs at halftime.  We ran the same play, and no passes, the entire second half.  VPI was inept.  Friend of mine on the team, who was a RB, played on the line during the second half.

Difference was, nobody expected anything out of VPI.  There were people who predicted a competitive game vs Vandy.  BTW, they were wrong!

I would add the BCSNCG game of 2012 vs. LSU to the games where Bama played a dominating complete game.  LSU never crossed the 50 yard line...  #+

Either way it is a lot of fun when Alabama destroys the opponent. RTR!

our D .... poor Kirk Cousins , I felt sorry for him .... NOT !!!!
