Title: Which Tide Player Really Steps Up This Year?
Post by: Marshal Dillon on August 13, 2017, 03:56:41 PM
Which player do you think turns it up a notch this year and steps out of the shadows? It could be a returning starter, a guy who you think becomes a starter and impresses, or a freshman. My pick is:

Ronnie Harrison: He is a rugged, hard-nosed tackling safety. He seems to hustle and be a real team leader with his tough play. He got lost with all the attention to Eddie Jackson, M. Fitzpatrick, and Humphrey.

Alternate, Robert Foster: Can this WR with great potential stay healthy all year? I hope so.

Any ideas or comments folks?

I hope it's all the guys on the OL.

That would be nice, for a change, especially pass blocking.

I hope it is the FG and EP kickers. Also kick off man so that returns are less than ever. RTR!

If Hurts improves his passing game it will help greatly.  One it will take pressure of the running game.  Two, it can enable Bama to sustain drives that were shut down last year.  Three, if 2 happens it will keep the defense off the field.  Of course this can't happen if the OL doesn't protect.

I think Mack Wilson is going to make some big plays on defense.  And possibly decapitate someone.

I've read some good stuff about him. Ferocious hitter who is everywhere.
