Title: How much water a well will hold?

I have a well 8" round by 49 FT. deep can someone please tell me how much water is in that well in gallons? I can't remember how to do that math. RTR!

About 513 gallons, assuming it is 49 feet to the top of the water, not the top of the well.

Thank you SC. We have a friend who has a water tank and he is going fix it so we can get water from the city water and use the water tank on the back of our truck till the water situation is fixed hopefully. RTR!

I found a website to calculate the number of gallons in a vertical cylinder.  Based on the cylinder (well) being 49 feet deep, 8 feet in diameter and filled only 25 feet deep: the well would have a "filled volume" of 9400.30 gallons.  Total volume, if filled to the top, the well would contain 18,424.59 gallons.

Thank you NALT it was suppose to be 8" though not 8 Feet. RTR!
