Quote
Saban on Monday said is between junior Cooper Bateman and redshirt freshman Blake Barnett. Those are the two who will get the snaps entering the USC game Saturday.

??? What the heck, then, was all the hype about Hurts? Last I heard, Barnett was an interception machine.

Could somebody have been misleading somebody up to now? Or can somebody be misleading everybody now to see what falls out of the tree this week? RTR!

That it did, 57, but I'm shocked that Barnett is even in the conversation after everything I've read about him in practice. Well, a bunch of us second guessed Saban last year, too, but it all worked out. I guess I'll just trust in CNS.

As I said, play 'em and they won't transfer.

Hurts will be the QB by the Ole Miss game!

Let's just hope we don't start one guy the first two games and then throw someone who's not prepared into the fire against Ole Miss.

Let the conspiracy theories begin!

1.  Hurts is our secret weapon...

Well since all the silence what about David Cornwell whatever happen to him? I was under the understanding at one time he had the best arm of the bunch. RTR!

Awww, ok, so I bet he will not be present much this year. If we win with either of the QB's I bet coach won't make no change like he did last year if the one we have is leading and guiding the guys out there. Thanks 2. RTR!

A friend of mine was speculating that CLK will have some plays designed specifically for Hurts, even if he doesn't come in and start right away (or, in this case, isn't even the backup).

I wonder about the wildcat? Would coach try and run him since he can pass or run pretty good from what it sounds? RTR!

I'm not sure about the wildcat, but I thought maybe some option plays?  :dunno:

Maybe the "Tim Tebow" read-option jump pass?   ;)

Nailed it.  Hurts will definitely play and the other two have the chance to play.
