I don't know how the AD escaped outright dismissal.

There has been talk that when he was at Stephenville, he had players get thrown in jail during the weekend and out to play  for the next week.  There was also rumors of steroid use.

It will be interesting to see what happens with the school being it is a Baptist affiliated school. I'm surprised the school had not already taken these matters in hand and began to replace personnel. :dunno:

What?  Come on Jamos!  The Baptist wouldn't replace Jesus Christ for cheating as long as he was winning...

The Briles/Baylor fiasco gets more bizarre. I can't believe this.

Quote
Bleacher Report's Jason King is reporting this morning that Baylor has reached a settlement with Art Briles over his contract. At 8:30 this morning, King issued the following tweet:

At this point, Jason is the only person reporting that Baylor reached settlement with Briles, but we'll update with other confirmations as they come in.

Two days ago there was talk that certain wealthy boosters were trying to bring Briles back after a 1 year suspension, calling Briles a "good man". Then yesterday Briles blasted Baylor for not doing their job & administrative failures. Today, Baylor settles with Briles. What the heck is going on at this nut house?

That is a very ugly situation out there and I don't see either of them coming out as a winner when the dust has settled. I'm very interested in what the NCAA will finally rule on all of this as Baylor could be ruined as far as football is concerned. I haven't followed this too much but has there been any similar issues in other sports there?

10rc is going through it, but apparently not to the degree that Baylor is.
