We move on to double elimination today against SEC regular season champion Miss State. The win gives us a much better chance of getting a NCAA Tournament bid. They looked like a totally different team than the guys that showed up to play USCe over the weekend. Last night was fun to watch.
When I saw who was going to be up to bat for the 9th I said to myself if one of those boys will get on Haynie will hit it out of the park. And that is exactly what happened. True, but the opponent has nothing to do with dropping a routine fly ball that would have been the 3rd out, making a bad throw to the plate, and allowing 2 runs to score. Sound familiar? I won't mention SEC SEC golf, swimming, gymnastics, or softball. Of course, the SEC trails in big time sports like rowing, lacrosse, field hockey, volleyball, ice hockey, & water polo. SEC Football is the undisputed king of all the sports but we won't mention that and hurt the sensitive feelings of the Big Ten. |
