Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel failed to check in with medical staff Sunday morning at the team's facility, as players with concussions are required to do, team owner Jimmy Haslam said Sunday night.

Haslam said he did not know if Manziel had been in Las Vegas, after rumors surfaced Saturday night that Manziel was seen at a casino.

With the Browns now looking for a new coach, they may not make any decisions about Manziel in the near future. With their roster locked until the day after the Super Bowl, the Browns couldn’t cut Manziel for the next five weeks, even if they wanted to.

Grossi said that he asked (now former) Browns head coach Mike Pettine in the postgame presser if Manziel was, as he’d heard, “disheveled” and “inebriated” at practice on Tuesday. “He denied that that happened on Tuesday,” Grossi said. “But other people I [later?] talked to said that it happened the next day, on Wednesday.”

According to ESPN Las Vegas, Manziel was spotted at a Vegas club on the strip wearing a blonde wig, fake mustache, glasses and hoodie as a disguise while he partied into the night.

OK you lawyers on here....do the Browns have grounds for voiding JFF's contract?  There have been multiple violations of league & team rules. When is enough enough?

Former Cleveland Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel and his friends “were consuming drugs and alcohol” and caused thousands of dollars in damage to a Los Angeles home he rented out for two nights earlier this month, according to a letter from the lawyer representing the property owner obtained by USA TODAY Sports.

The Browns ought to have to suffer for not getting rid of him and hopefully this will show other teams they don't need him either. He shouldn't be allowed to play football in the future until he goes through maybe a 3 or 4 year committal to an institution to solve his brain problems. RTR!

Johnny Manziel said he still is focused on preparing to be in the NFL this year, even after another tumultuous day for the troubled former Cleveland Browns quarterback.

"I’m hoping to take care of the issues in front of me right now so I can focus on what I have to do if I want to play in 2016,” Manziel said in a statement provided to USA TODAY Sports. “I also continue to be thankful to those who really know me and support me."

I'm watching the CWS on ESPN and after the streamer showed what you posted, another one came along saying Manziel's father said something to the effect that "My son is a druggie and needs help. I hate to say it, but the best place for him would be jail".

The reality of Johnny Manziel’s troubling condition became painfully evident when the quarterback’s father, Paul, spoke on Friday.

Paul Manziel was interviewed on “SportsCenter” after news emerged that Manziel’s lawyer accidentally texted the AP and revealed a plan for a plea deal in his son’s legal case.

In the interview with Josina Anderson, Paul Manziel called his son a “druggie” and said jail was the safest place for the former Heisman Trophy winner.

Well even sparing the rod is bad, this guy just has to grow up. He is old enough to what is right and knows he is suppose to do it, he is getting all this big cash and he wants all the popularity he can get. What he needs right now is about 6 months hard time in Prison and let him learn how to worry about his next breath instead how he is going to goof up next. Yea tough love sometimes makes life a lot better just ask my son. RTR!

It is too late for tough love for JM.  His parents ruined him starting from an early age.  It is just lucky for him that he has actually survived as long as he has.  This case (Johnny Manziel) will require an intervention of epic proportions to save him from himself IMO...

Johnny Manziel currently is on vacation in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, and an image posted by an individual sharing the lavish mansion where he’s staying has prompted him to proclaim he’s planning to go sober in the coming days.
