I stole this from a private Gator's message board I'm on...

These people needed to be careful what they wished for.

The excitement level for this Bama-Florida SECCG is not nearly as high as the previous two.  And actually this is two years in a row the SECCG has had little excitement in the buildup.  The East has gotten awful.

We just need to win.

It'll be tough.  We're banged up, will have a letdown after beating the Aubs, and UF will be sky high.  Their defense is good enough to steal one from us, just like Stallings' Bama teams used to do (with little offense).

Expect a good game plan from McElwain.  He's famous for screen passes, and we'll certainly see plenty of them (to slow our rush).  And they'll have a good kicking game.

We could lose if we give up turnovers.  We protect the ball, play well on punts and kicks, and make them play us at the line of scrimmage: we win.  If we have turnovers and give them cheap points, they could steal OUR SEC CHAMPIONSHIP.

The one difference between Stallings' teams and the current Florida team is that yes, they have a good defense but they have NO offense...

Yeah, if they can't put up a better fight than they did against their arch rival, I don't see them being able to take us to task.

I wouldn't sale Coach Mc. short. He knows us inside out and he will be prepared for sure. I really hope the rankings change. If and when we win the SECCG I don't like meeting Okla. in the first game. RTR!

I am sure at this point the season feels very long for the players (and coaches.)  Just gotta suck it up, focus and win one more game.  Then some time off.

We are no more beaten up than FL is.  And we have more depth.

FL's FG game is awful.  Inside the 30, they are more likely to go for it on 4th and 5 than to try a FG.

Their D is pretty good and we'll need an imaginative O game plan.   If we stick to our stuff, they'll wear down in the 2nd half.
