Title: HC Changes & Schollys
Post by: McBaman on November 29, 2015, 04:18:49 PM
Does anybody know if scholly players are automatically released from commitment when there is a HC change?  If so, can they move without having to sit out a year?

Nope, the NCAA is like a plantation. If your coach is fired or takes another job, you are stuck.

So if guys don't like the new HC and want to transfer, they can still do it if they sit out a year?  Do they still need a release from their current school, or can they just decide on their own?

I'm not sure about the release from their current obligation but, they can transfer and play immediately as long as they go to a lower level school... After a year at the lower level school they can then transfer to a higher level school and play immediately...
