Third ranked opponent in four days.  Notre Dame is good, so this will be another tough test for the Tide.  Even if they don't win, I hope the team is able to play a little better and keep it closer than they were able to against Dayton and Xavier.  The non-conference schedule gets a little easier after this one.

Yep, and 4th in 5 games & 16 days. In 3 weeks we play ranked Oregon for another challenge.

Xavier plays like Bama did under Newton & Wimp, with a power game in the paint with good defense. Good solid power forwards around the boards.

Thanks a lot MD.  I was on rolltide.com earlier today to find out if the game was going to be on TV but they only showed a link to listen to it with no TV info.

16-5 Tide. Edwards, Taylor, & Hale look very good. Hale just hit a 3. 13-0 run by Bama. Another 3 pointer by Tide, including 4/4 3 pointers. 21-8 now.

You bet he did. If we can just get one of the big men to step up and be any kind of a force in the middle, this team will have to be reckoned with in just their first year. Wow.

That was a very fun game to watch.  When we called the time out at the end to set up the play I told my wife that CAJ would not have any trouble drawing up a play.  Then they came out in zone so he called a time out and drew up another play.  :lol2:

Bingo! Taylor (6'10") looked good early but got in foul trouble, then fouled out. Hall (6'9) is a true freshman and shows flashes of promise but needs development. Kessens (6'9") looked great the last 8-10 minutes of the game. He was fighting hard under the basket.

We get blown out in back to back games away from Coleman and then rebound to beat ranked teams back to back on the road. How great is that?

Alabama improves to 4-2 on the season. We have gone 2-2 against top 25 teams. If we continue to improve we can make some noise in the SEC Conference in CAJ first year.

That was a fun game to watch. We played well but we can play better. We have some talent but we need our big guys to improve. Nice confidence building win for the Tide.

Heck yeah! Looks like this team has a bunch of players that are fast studies. The chemistry is coming together.

Our next two games are on the road against Southern Miss and Clemson and neither is a cake walk. I will say that CAJ is really tested the team with all of the early road games which is usually the killer on a schedule. One thing is for sure though, they've been heavily tested very early in the season and they have responded extremely well. Who would have ever thought the  team would have been this successful so early.

We finally win a close game, a major improvement. The development of the big men is just started, not much was done before Coach Johnson. Taylor has to stay out of foul trouble.

We play Clemson on Dec. 13th at their pacle. I watched a little of their game last night against Minnesota. They looked pretty good even though they lost a close one.

It'll be tough for this little team to win on the road.
Every road win will be reason for celebration, especially when we beat the humpers.
