Title: ESPN Story About Alabama-Georgia Game Result
Post by: Marshal Dillon on October 03, 2015, 09:42:53 PM
I love it.

Quote
The last time Alabama visited Georgia, the Crimson Tide dominated in a game known as The Blackout and caused the Bulldogs to never wear black jerseys again. What are they going to do after The Washout on Saturday, build a dome over Sanford Stadium? “The dam broke,” Georgia coach Mark Richt told reporters. He wasn't talking about the weather.

Here's the difference between these programs: Georgia tries to talk itself into winning a big game; Alabama knows it can win a big game. Georgia put up a better fight during pre-game warmups.

Why is Michigan State No. 2? I can't tell you definitively who the No. 2 team in the country is right now. But I can tell you right now who isn't: No. 2 Michigan State. The Spartans a 24-21 home win over Purdue. Michigan State previously struggled to definitively pull away from other less-talented opponents this season, and the Spartans' three-point victory over Oregon looks a lot less impressive after Utah went to Eugene and routed the Ducks.

Um, yeah.

Stat of the Day #1

Steve Spurrier has started 0-3 in the SEC for the first time since 2005, his first year with South Carolina. That year the Gamecocks opened the year with losses to Georgia, Alabama and Auburn -- all traditionally strong SEC programs. This time in Spurrier's 11th season, he has opened with defeats against Kentucky, Georgia and Missouri. Spurrier flirted with retiring last season. He now may have the worst team in the SEC.

(I think it's Vandy).

Spurrier is staring at a 5-7 season & 1-7 in SEC, maybe 0-8.

Vanderbilt scored 14 points in the Fourth Quarter to come from behind and beat Middle TN State, 17-14.  Maybe they can give Spurrier's team a game.   :lol2:
