Title: Friday Night In The Games
Post by: Catch Prothro on September 04, 2015, 06:09:28 PM
Not much exciting going on tonight, game wise.

Baylor scored a TD in 50 seconds, 75 yards, 4 plays against SMU, to start that game.  Their strength of schedule is keeping alive the Boise State tradition of excellence.

Speaking of Smurfs, that game is tonight at 9:15.  Not sure why ya'll voted for it; I hate watching that blue turf for more than 30 seconds.

SMU only takes one play, a long bomb, to score an answering TD.

1 minute into the game and the score is 7-7.   :lol2: :eyeroll:

Hello guys.

Baylor is not looking like a top-5 team, especially their defense.   :stars:

At this rate, final score will be 112 to 56.

SMU is doing a lot better than I ever thought. They have a new  coach and lot of young players. No name whatsoever. I noticed Mich. St. finally got going. I still think Baylor and TCU are overrated as I do us also. We should not be ranked as high as were are right now. I think it should be the second week of October before any rankings come out. Just my preference. RTR!

Do they have a good inside game? How's their rebounding?

Not sure why the SMU coach called the early time out, why there were no passes....  he wins the Les Miles award for clock management.

Yep, and now they are giving it away again.  They were driving, then line jumped off early, costing them a drive.  Baylor about to score.

Baylor won by a million.  They threw long passes to run it up.

56-21

Now Washington is playing Preacher's 'Baylor'.   :lol2:
No score on the smurf-crap turf.

Washington is just terrible. True freshman QB, not ready for prime time on the blue turf.  Their defense is ok, not great, but I don't think the Washington offense scores until Boise puts its B string into the game in the 4th Quarter.

Boise 13 Washington 0

Don't be such an ingrate, CP. Washington did beat the spread to keep you undefeated in the pick em.

  It was 13-0 when I turned off the TV.

I haven't seen the second half -- the wife said Washington scored on special teams, and stayed in the game with defense.  I did see the ending, Washington was down to the Boise 19, but then a penalty and QB sack (something to be said for not using a true freshman QB) made Washington settle for a game-tying 46 yard FG attempt, which was just wide right.

I did originally pick Boise, by the way, because that's what the experts said.  But Washington killed Boise two years ago as an underdog, and I think Boise is overrated as usual, so talking to the wife convinced me to swap my pick.  Who knew special teams would be my salvation.   :lol2:
