Title: Saban Talks to Trent Richardson Face-to-Face in Pensacola
Post by: Marshal Dillon on July 29, 2015, 09:23:08 PM
Hope Trent gets it going.

Quote
The night before Trent Richardson left Pensacola for the Oakland Raiders' training camp, the former Alabama All-American got to talk face-to-face with Crimson Tide coach Nick Saban. And Richardson knew it was going to be beneficial as he seeks a fresh start in the NFL with the Raiders.

Quote
"On top of coaching, he gave me life lessons," Richardson said. "I was just telling my brother, I just can't go in there with no slacks, no regular pants and a collared shirt. I've got to go in there with a tie and a sports jacket. That's something that this man taught me. It's just life lessons. This is how I carry myself everywhere I go. I had an event last week. Everyone was in a polo, and I was in my sports coat. That was just me. That's something that he engrained in me. That's something that he taught me more than football -- more of life lessons."

So should the fans that attend games this fall start wearing sports coats with ties and the ladies wearing evening gowns to present themselves to Coach Saban's standards?   :dunno:

If anyone ever needed a talking to, TR is at the top of the list.

IF TR can get his head back squarely on his shoulders he and Cooper could be a fun 1-2 punch to watch. I have not been interested in the Raiders for a long time. I am looking forward to see what their offense can do with those two in the lineup.

And Carr is a decent QB. Might see some life in the Raiders for a change.

I agree. Talk about second chances, how many does TR get, hopefully CNS opened his eyes a little.

Evening gowns are little much, except for night games.

The broader point is that a person should present themselves as the person they want to be and as the person they want to be seen as by people.

People who are nicely dressed tend to behave in a more appropriate manner.

School uniforms generally have a positive effect on the classroom learning environment and discipline in general.

Sadly, this tradition is dying, except for the greeks.

I have friends who chose to come to the university partly b/c of attending games and seeing how the students were dressed.

Good for Trent!  I wish him all the best.

"I tell people right now: I'll take my Alabama football offensive line and run with it in the NFL," Richardson said. "That's just how I feel."

Good stuff.
