Title: Braves Make More Trades
Post by: Marshal Dillon on July 24, 2015, 09:45:18 PM
Here we go again.

ESPN’s Jim Bowden reports that the Mets and Braves are “close” on a trade that would send Juan Uribe and Kelly Johnson to New York. Jon Heyman of CBS Sports and Joel Sherman of the New York Post also reported that a deal is close.

I didn't know that the Braves had gotten Kelly Johnson back, in the first place.  :dunno:

Didn't they just get Uribe like a month and a half ago? Via trade?

Yep. Him & Johnson were playing too good, so they got rid of both of them.

The Braves is a tax write off so if you play good and win people come to the games. If you don't they won't and that is what they the owners want. JMHO! RTR!

The Braves executives have a master plan to make all their outrageous trades/minor league deals work out so by 2017 the team will be on the rise. They better get some hitters & a closer.

I know everyone hates change most of the time but I think the Braves needed to make some changes with the team they had last year. I have to turn off their game occasionally but of late they have been playing a decent brand of baseball considering all of the changes that have been made, they have actually got some guys that know how to bunt. Anyway, I think it will all pan out for them after they get in their new home but it's a long time to wait.

The Braves decent start this year was almost a curse.  It made the fans forget that they're in the process of rebuilding.

By Wednesday evening, the trade re-emerged as a three-team deal involving the Atlanta Braves and a lot more players.

Along with Latos and Morse, the Dodgers will reportedly get starter Alex Wood, relievers Jim Johnson and Luis Avilan, and top prospect Jose Peraza from the Braves.

Knowing no more than I do I would say the dodgers got a million dollar bill and the braves got a thousand dollar bill. Standard procedure for atlanta though. RTR!

They have traded almost all of their previous years players off so I guess their television broadcasting team is next, that is all that is left. :dunno:

Braves sink deeper & deeper.  Braves are 48-58 & 8 games out. More bad news:

Quote
Braves first baseman Freddie Freeman, who missed five weeks with a wrist injury earlier this season before returning late last month, is headed back to the disabled list with a strained right oblique muscle.

In between the DL stints Freeman played just 10 games, hitting .184, and based on the typical recovery timetable for oblique injuries he’s unlikely to be back in Atlanta’s lineup until September.
