The 5-foot-10, 180-pound Maze will be expected to use his experience this season to become a viable No. 1 receiver who can help fill the void left by Jones' departure, and to provide leadership for younger receivers. Maze has 80 career receptions for 1,217 yards, stretching the field with a 15.2-yard average per catch.

"As well as myself, I feel like Marquis has progressed every year we've been out on the field," Hanks said. "I feel like he's a leader in his own way. Marquis is a very talented receiver, and he's a very fast guy at the same time, so I feel like you're going to have to get one of the best DBs out there to cover the guy."
