Tennessee ($5,666) and Auburn ($5,586) offer the most money for full cost-of-attendance not only in the SEC, but in the entire country. Auburn athletic director Jay Jacobs has no problems with his school's high figure. In fact, he told USA Today in February he thinks the high number should be helpful in recruiting.

"At Auburn, we are going to have the best student-athlete experience in the nation," Jacobs told AL.com. "We are going to do whatever we can within the rules to provide the best for our student-athletes."

In Destin, Saban spoke about some sort of parity between the big 5 conferences on this subject. Like him, I'm all for helping the players with extra funds but, differences of thousands of dollars between schools will give undue advantages to some of these schools. I do hope there will be some sort of capping before the program is fully implemented.

There are significant disparities in the money offered by each school  for full cost-of-attendance -- Auburn, for instance, provides nearly $3,000 more than Stanford -- leading some to believe it will be used as a recruiting advantage.

Either Auburn is cheating, Stanford is stupid, or both.

Mississippi State and Ole Miss are also in the top 10 nationally, according to The Chronicle of Higher Education. Schools like Boston College and Southern Cal, which both reside in pricey cities, somehow don't crack the $2,000 mark.

Starkvegas and Oxford also expensive towns, more so than Tuscaloosa, L.A. or Boston.

This is going to affect recruiting.  No doubt about it.  Gotta believe other conf's will have similar issues.  Gonna be a mess for 2 - 3 years until NZAA gets into it.
