Still way too early to speculate. Nice to see us favored in yet another game, though. How many in a row is that now?  :dunno:

I may be overly optimistic, bit I think the D will be awesome this year. Saban is more tuned into the D after 2 bad years in the secondary & defense has always been the main thing under Saban. Can't wait, & please no more major injuries.

I personally don't care if we are a double-digit favorite, single-digit favorite or underdog as long as we win.  I do expect our defense will likely provide us with some shut-out wins this year though...

I have one question, 1-0 will shoot me just fine. RTR!

A 1-0 victory might 'shoot' Ricky (sounds more like Lou Holtz), but if we beat Wisconsin by a single point there'll be a meltdown among the spoiled-brat-mentality-portion of the crimson faithful.

With the recent success of the Bama football, softball, golf gymnastics and other sports can you be a bit more specific about who those people are?

Well it would not spoil me if we won 14 games by 1-one point. RTR!

Sounds about right to me. They have more questions than we do. The abrupt resignation of their last coach to go to Oregon State still baffles me.

I was reading elsewhere that Alvarez is very controlling of the football program and keeps the coaches on a tight leash. Don't know if there is any truth to it or not, but may explain the departure of Bielema and Anderson.

I have heard the same thing about Alvarez but leaving a successful program for Oregon State. I could understand Anderson leaving for the Nebraska job but for Oregon State. He must have wanted out of there bad.

Apparently, with Bielema, it was Alvarez's refusal to approve competitive salaries for assistant coaches.

It causes me no confusion whatsoever as to why someone would leave freaking cold Wisconsin for Mediterranean moderate coastal Oregon.  (I lived near freaking cold Wisconsin for 1 1/2 years -- one winter).
