Post by: N.AL-Tider on April 13, 2015, 11:17:46 AM
So who all is going to be there?  I'm planning on going and will have anywhere from 1-7 kids in tow...

Congratulations to you and the Mrs. on 50 years. Quite a milestone in today's world. I hope you have a wonderful "remarriage" and it will be filled with wonderful memories you two have shared for half a century.  Just remember that you are 50 years older than you were the first time.   ;)

We have both been married before but the first time I saw her i told her nephew who I was with at the time that I was going to marry that woman one day. He said that is my Aunt and I said I won't hold that against her. Dottie is part Cherokee and oh my do I remember that first day just like yesterday she was so beautiful and had a golden smile! ooopppsss, don't nobody tell her I said all this. The to 2&Mrs 2. Congrats to Mr & Mrs J on 50.  That is a rare statistic these days and one to be admired.  My wife and I just hit 43 so I can kinda imagine what 50 feels like.  We're wishing the Jamoses have a special day on Sat.

If we live until this September, Mrs. Nalt and I will have 30 years under our belts... Again, congrats to Jamos and his Mrs.

Regarding the A-day game tomorrow, I am at this point undecided as to whether the kids and I will be there.  I really don't want to sit in the rain for 3 hours... If I don't make it then this will be the first A-Day game that I have missed since around 2003 or 2004...

Hi Bro Ricky :)

White team is shining. Score is 10-0. Griffith hit a 49 yard fg for the white team. Crimson team couldn't score. Coker had a 40 yard td pass to Stewart. Coker looks pretty good to me!

Terri :)

Coker went 6 of 11 with a td pass. He's out now and Morris is in for the white team.

Hi Bro Ricky - all is great with us! I'm actually in Maryland at the moment. My daughter/son in law just had a new baby - a baby girl this time! This Nana is in heaven! I've been away for 3 weeks now so heading home tomorrow.
Glad I can stream this game on the computer this year :)
Hope all is well with you and your family!
I keep hoping that life is going to slow down so I have more time to come to CRS. Soon I hope! :)

RTR

It's halftime now.

7 minutes left in the game and the score is 20-7.
Coker threw an interception in the 3rd, which resulted in a touchdown for the Crimson team.
Coker is by far the best quarterback on the field today. (IMHO)

Final Score:

White Team 27

Good game at times. Great training for all I think!

There is some real talent on this team, even though it was a typical A Day game in that there were good and bad plays. Coker has separated himself at this point as the QB leader. May change in the fall, but he looked pretty good. Ardarius Stewart and Robert Foster shined as receivers.

I was thrilled to see Drake run and cut at full speed, even though he was in a black no contact jersey. He will be Mr. Everything this upcoming season, barring injury.

The defense is going to ball out in the fall. Lots of shining stars.

We had a great time at the game. My grandson is hooked, even though he started getting cranky later in the game. Did pretty good for a 5 yr old, though.  :D

Thanks for the summaries, guys.
Good to see you, Miss Terrie.

I was driving to Wren, MS during the first half, but I had it on the radio.  Eli Gold did a good job of making it real.

We didn't go because of the threat of rain. I cold kick my neighbor's dog for not going now.  I won't though, the dog is an Awbren fan and would likely bite back... Still, I sure wish I had made the trip down...  >:(

This is a picture I took of an actual drawing that my 5 yr old grandson made of BDS.

Notice the Crimson end zones, the rounded stands, and the green field covered up a great deal by black objects. According to him, those black objects are the QB's. During warmups, all 5 QB's in their BLACK no contact jerseys were  throwing passes. Kid has a great memory and a heck of an imagination. He certainly remembered lots of QB's :lol2:

I'll reveal that in the fall. Kid is smarter than his grandfather.  :lol2:

Good to see you back, J. Congrats again on yesterday's "renewptials".  :toast4:

And you're right about the stuff you reminisce about. When my youngest was home a couple of weeks ago, we pulled out a trunk of pictures not seen, since my mother passed in 1993. My daughters loved it! My father died in 1976 and I did not realize that my youngest daughter had never seen a picture of him. Good stuff!
