Post by: pmull on March 27, 2015, 06:52:24 PM
Bama wins Game One 12-9 in 10 innings.

We are playing two games today due to Thursday night rain out. Game two is coming up shortly. Game Three will be Saturday.

Florida is # 5 so this was a big win on the road.

Alabama baseball split its doubleheader with fourth-ranked Florida on Friday inside McKethan Stadium. The Crimson Tide claimed the game-one victory in extra innings and collected a season-high 18 hits on the way to a 12-9 victory. The Gators would claim game two, 8-1, to end the evening with the two teams poised for a Saturday matchup to decide the series.

Florida takes Game Three 7-4. Bama lead 4-3 going to the bottom of the 7th. UF tied it in the 7th and had a 3 run 8th to secure the win. UF wins the series 2-1.

Alabama is 14-12 on the year and 4-5 in SEC play. Our 4-5 SEC record is not bad considering 2 of the 3 series were on the road and 2 series were against #2 Texas A&M and #5 Florida. We play #1 LSU next week before the schedule gets a little softer. We have played one of the most difficult schedules in the country up to this point. Our SOS is 5 with the #1 team coming up next week.
