Alabama is playing a 3 game weekend series with Louisiana Lafayette.

Game one is tied 4-4. Alabama scored 4 runs in the 3rd and the Cajuns scored 4 runs in the 7th.

Ray Castillo on to pitch for Bama.

Castillo has a very strong 8th setting the Cajuns down in order. He had 2 K's and a weak ground out the 2nd.

Bama coming to bat in B6 with the 2-3-4 hitters coming to the plate.

Bama scores 2 runs on 2 hits in the 8th.

Bama leads 6-4 with the Cajuns coming to bat for the final time in T9.

They moved the game up due to cold weather. Better to get it in during daylight.

Hey to start the season like we have and to a young team, I think is a Blast. They seem to be good now but with the experience of the year, look out. Wel done to the guys. RTR!

This team is not that young. We have several juniors that will go pro after this year. CMG has recruited well so we do have a good mixture of youth to go along with the experienced guys. I have high hopes for this team.

I was watching the SEC Network recap last night and they showed highlights of the Miss St-Arizona game and TAMU vs teeny tiny nobody U. Both MSU and TAMU are undefeated. Maybe if we sweep ULL, they will start showing some highlights of the Bama games.

Game 2 is underway. ULL leads 1-0 with Bama coming to bat B2.

Tide pitcher Will Carter has walked the lead off hitter in both innings. It cost him in the 2nd as the walked batter came around to score. Bama left a runner on 3rd in the 1st.

The game is on SECN+.

After 3 innings Bama trails 1-0. Bama had a runner throw out at the plate.

Meanwhile ULL just scored in the 4th. They lead 2-0 with 0 outs and a runner on 2nd with the clean up hitter at the plate.

ULL is up 3-0 in the 5th.

Bama gets 5 runs in the 5th to take a 5-3 lead.

ULL gets 3 runs in the 7th to take a 6-5 lead. Bama batting B7.

Still 6-5; top of the 9th.

Bama loses 6-5. We had a runner thrown out at the plate for the 2nd out of the 9th and left a runner on 3rd.

Tough loss for the Tide.

Salem just got picked off at 1st. Yesterday we had 2 men throw out at the plate. One of those was the tying run in the 9th. I know CMG wants to be aggressive on the bases but bad fundamentals will get you beat!

ULL puts 4 more runs across the plate in T4. ULL leads 6-1. Bama batting in B4 with 1 on and 0 out.

Bama is getting blown out. ULL is up 12-1 after 7 innings. We only have 2 hits.

Bama loses 14-2. We lose the series 2-1 and fall to 7-4 on the year.

We play Auburn in a non-conference game on Tuesday in Montgomery. We host Lipscomp in a three game weekend series in Mobile at Hank Arron Stadium.
