Title: Levi Randolph: Playing In Memory of his Best Friend

Memories of laughter and tears. Memories of success and disappointment. Memories of hanging out together or chatting on the phone. Memories of heading different directions after high school but never really separating. Memories of a young kid, who became a best friend, who became a brother.

What a wonderful story. I have always had a lot of respect for Levi and I never really knew why, but I know now. He is first class all the way, on and off the court and that says a lot for today's athletes. I wish him the best in whatever he chooses after he leaves Bama.

Levi is from Madison and went to school at Bob Jones. I got to see him play several times. He was an early commit to Alabama and helped recruit Rodney Cooper and Trevor Lacey. He had a good reputation. He was smart, popular and just a good kid. I could not wait for him to get to Alabama. In his senior year he is a 4 year starter, captain of the team and honor student. He is off to a great start this year. I expected big things from him when he signed and he has delivered.

During the Iowa State game the announcers were talking about Levi, what a smart kid he was, already had his degree, had ambitions other than most kids playing college basketball, who dreamed of being NBA stars.
