Title: After latest incident, the NCAA should suspend Jameis Winston

[quoteThe NCAA should do what Florida State refuses to do: Punish Jameis Winston for breaking a rule. Suspend the reigning Heisman Trophy winner, show the Seminoles quarterback he isn’t above the game.][/quote]

The 11-0 Thundering Herd have been snubbed each week by the College Football Playoff committee, left out of the top 25 for three-loss teams. Marshall is hurt by its weak schedule, ranked 141st in the country — and there are only 129 FBS teams...

There is no Cinderella allowed at the dance. Could Marshall beat Alabama or Florida State? Probably not, but we’ll never know. They deserve the chance.
No, they don't.   :deadhorse:

Hey Catch why don't Marshall schedule some of these teams in the SEC each year. They would up their SOS and begin to get recognition. They might be Vanderbilt, or some other teams in Div. #1. RTR!

Correct.  What has FSU or Alabama done to deserve this?  It takes two teams to play a game, and neither Alabama nor FSU exist to serve Marshal.  If Marshal wants a chance, they would schedule some big boy games during the regular season.  Clearly, they don't want to do that or they would have done it.

Exactly.  Of course if an SEC school scheduled them for an out of conference game and beat the tar out of them it would be criticized for scheduling cream puffs for out of conference games.

The NY Post getting on the JW story could be significant, i.e. the story is spreading from sports websited into media.  NY Times has been on FSU for the legal stuff so this is another paper getting into it.

But I don't think FSU admin really cares as long as the alums are happy.

Marshall played UAB and won 23-18 on Saturday. They can not beat any of the better teams from the power conferences. They might not could beat any of the worst teams from the power conferences. If you let Marshall into the playoff you may as well let the Division II champion in as well.
