Title: Oregon v. California
Post by: Catch Prothro on October 24, 2014, 10:21:32 PM
This game is on FoxSports1, DTV Channel 219.

This game didn't make the pickem (line is 18 points), but California is at home and has an outside shot of pulling the upset.

Currently, Oregon 17 California 14.  Second Quarter

Oregon gets two quick TDs.  Suddenly we're at Oregon 31-14

Obviously I don't know how to watch PAC12 football.  This is like watching basketball.

First Cal gets a quick TD.  Then Oregon fumbles and Cal returnes it to the 5 yard line.

If Cal can get 5 yards, it's a 3-point game.

Oregon won 59-41. Not a very impressive win over a 4-4 team IMO. Cal had 30 first downs and 560 total yards. I could be a defensive coordinator in the PAC 12.

Vegas was spot on with the 18 point line.

One of the analysts during the game was gushing about how good Oregon was and used the fact they had scored 52 points on Cal at the time as his justification. He had Oregon in the Four over Auburn, Alabama, Georgia, and some others. He had to be a Pac 12 homer.

Cal has an outstanding defense... NOT! Cal gives up 41 pts a game thanks to cupcake games. They are giving up 49 pts a game in PAC 12 play. They got great defensive efforts in their wins over Colorado (59-56) and Washington State (60-59). Scoring 59 on them does not get you in the Top 4 it keeps you from falling out of the Top 25. Cal has given up 49 pts or more in 4 games. PAC 12 defenses are a joke.
