I'm pulling for KC, but the Giants have been deadly in the post season, the past few years when they've been in it.

What a start for the Giants.  Did the same thing against the Cardinals, started fast out the gate.

They used shot puts for baseballs back then. If they hit it past the pitcher's mound, it was a HR.

99 & I discussed this earlier about ratings without the Yankees, Red Sox, Dodgers, & maybe the Mets.

Quote
The Kansas City Royals were a great story in baseball this year, but as a team with little star power that hails from a small market, their surprise run to face the San Francisco Giants in the World Series may not be resonating with more casual sports fans.

Fox attracted a still-sizable audience to Game 1 of the Fall Classic on Tuesday — 12.2 million — but this left it tied with the 2012 Texas-San Francisco opener, which previously had been the smallest audience to kick things off. Last year’s World Series between the St. Louis Cardinals and Boston Red Sox averaged about 15 million, jumping 23% from 2012.

Single and another run scores. 4-1 KC. Pitching change, one pitch too late.

Hey MD I agree with some other posted that if KC wins this one it may seriously be over. KC seems to be winding up again. RTR!

                                     GAME FIVE

Game 5's are usually the most important game in a best-ofseven series. Can the Royals recover from blowing a 4-1 lead then getting hammered 11-4 by the Giants. This game will test their mettle.

#+ you know MD as I got to thinking on your post it is very true not that I doubted you but to win game 5 does make some pressure go away. This would make the opponent to have to win 2 back to back games. Thanks for clearing this one up again. Your better than a dictionary to me.  :D, RTR!

Game 4 lasted exactly 4 hours last night due to all the scoring, especially all the singles. There were 28 hits, with 5 doubles, no triples or homers. That's 23 singles.

Well, I had so much going on I never had a chance to post on game 5 of the World Series. Giants won 5-0 for a 3-2 lead in the Series. The next games are in KC, but Giants look primed to win their 3rd World Series in past 5 years. Their starting pitcher Bumgarner was awesome again. He threw a 4 hit shutout against Royals with 8 K's and NO walks. Total domination. If the Braves had a money pitcher like him in the 1990's, they would have won 3-4 World Series. Bumgarner won 18 games in regular season.

Royals have erupted for 4 runs so far in the bottom of the 2nd. 1 out and runners on 1st and 3rd. They've already chased Peavy. They lead 4-0.

                                    GAME SIX

Bottom of  the 2nd and 4-0 Royals. Still batting, 2 on and 1 out. Cain hit a bloop single with bases loaded which scored 2 to make the game 4-0.  Wild pitch, runners on 2nd & 3rd, still 1 out. Hosmer gets bounce hit over drawn in shortstop for a double and 2 more runs score. 6-0 KC.

                                            GAME SEVEN

Game 7 and winner takes all. Don't be surprised it Bumgarner pitches for SF in relief since he has shut KC down twice in the Series. He will have 2 days rest. Both teams can win, but KC has the home field.

Tim Hudson starting pitcher for Giants. He's oldest starting pitcher in WS history at age 39. If he is on this could be bad news for KC.

KC has scored 2 in the bottom of 2nd and still batting but their starting catcher Perez was hit in the leg and is having trouble running and moving around. He's on 2nd. Hudson is removed with runners on 1st & 2nd & 2 out. I feel for Hudson since pitching in the WS has been his dream.

3-2 SF top of 4th. Runners on 1st & 3rd, 1 out. Great game, so far. KC struck out dangerous hitter, 2 outs after a 98 mph fastball. Third out, bottom of 4th & KC coming up.

Both have great pitchers in right now. Somehow, KC needs to manufacture a run or 2, but will be very difficult to do against Bumgardner.

He had some good games as well, along with Glavine and especially Johnny Smoke. The Braves just did not have any timely hitting in their WS appearances. They should have at least won 3-4 more WS.
