As is with most recruiting analysts, they have tons and tons of information on every high school athlete in the country and John Garcia was no exception. I wish I had come away from the meeting tonight with some solid information about who Bama will sign this year but that isn't the case at all, you could probably use a Ouija board and be more accurate about who signs where. He explained there are some that are committed that won't be changing their minds but there will always be some that play the "flipping game" just to get their name on the sports news. John had a lot of info on the recruitment of Blake Barnett and is really impressed with what he will bring to Bama football. He will graduate from his high school in December and enroll at Bama in January. 

John did have some interesting bits of info on this years team though which did make the evening a little more bearable. He was asked about the status of Marlon Humphrey and was quick to say that Marlon's problem with not playing more is that he came to Bama knowing he was a 5 star recruit and should have realized that a player isn't given a spot on the team, he has to earn it. He did talk about the success of Blake Sims this year and how he has changed the whole philosophy of Alabama football. He explained that CLK is the genius behind all of this and his career just might be starting now even though he has already been a head coach elsewhere. He was asked how long he thought CLK would coach at Bama and he answered with at least 2 years but that isn't saying that he would be leaving after 2 years. Who knows what can happen from year to year in the coaching circles.

John explained that there are still chances of a player or two from Bama that might flip to another school but there are also some good chances of players that have commited to other schools that will flip to Bama but that will all happen during the latter stages of the recruiting year.

If there was one kid out there though that I would be willing to bet on where he will play his college football it would be Blake Barnett. He is locked in on his decision and doing some heavy recruiting in trying to get others to come with him to Bama.

If we only get Blake Barnett, we've filled our needs.
But I know we'll get a bunch of great players, thanks to Coach Saban.

I'd be happy with Kiffin for 2 years or more, especially if he keeps bringing such imagination.  Not to mention his recruiting!  We've hardly seen that yet!

I'm sure the TEs will pour in, now that we've completed a pass to OJ!   :lol2:

This flipping crap is real frustrating, but it's become the norm.
Fortunately, we've benefited from it more than it's hurt us recently.

Great to hear that Barnett is a solid commit. I posted earlier in another thread that I hope he was in Calvin Ridley's ear, this past weekend. I'm betting he was.
