I think you're right MD.  Very sloppy the way FSU admin handled this.  They are trying to make it sound like they got more info and that's what prompted the change to a whole game suspension.  Gotta wonder about that.

Winston is a PR nightmare for FSU.

As I stated in a post on another thread this week, the Title IX investigation is much different than the police investigation, Winston and FSU may wish that this issue had never happened when the investigation is over. :clap:

The line opened at 22 and now on some sites is down to 10. But, you can't ever tell. The team may be fed up with JW and play their hearts out!

I don't think the powers that be would do this unless there is more to JW's indiscretions than we are currently aware. Like maybe there is some eligibility-related issue that would lead to forfeiture of games in which JW plays. We should also not underestimate the degree to which the NFLs current poop-storm has college administrators worried about being seen as unresponsive to moral turpitude and too coddling toward athletes.

BINGO!!  This is what I think is happening. After that lame press conference by Roger Goodell, no one is in the mood to "understand" pampered athletes.

Winston to his team before they play Clemson: "Are you strong? I'm strong if you strong. We strong then. If we gonna do it big, we gonna do it big then. If we win, crab legs are on me!"

What is really frustrating to me is that some of the FSU fans are blaming the person who leaked the video INSTEAD of JW! Why are some people not seeing that JW needs to be held accountable for ALL of his actions?  And for the record, if this was an Alabama player, I'd be shouting for his dismissal from the team. (not for just this one incident - the culmination of activities). We need character back - I don't mean "A" character either - I mean GOOD Character :)

Well said Terrie.  My guess (without knowing the depth of the facts) is that after the "crab legs" incident, CNS would have suspended him indefinitely.  This is serious discipline but gives the univ & the coaches flexibility to respond to 'new' facts if/when they come out.

It's even worse than that. An entire city covered up for him when he was accused of sexual assault. That includes the police department, the university, & the state prosecutor. Sad.
