He was in the spot occupied by Eddie Jackson the last two weeks, but a quadriceps injury took him out of the Southern Miss game Saturday. Cyrus Jones was the other cornerback. Jackson came out with the second team at corner. -- Alabama was in the nickel defense during the media viewing period and safety Landon Collins said Tuesday afternoon they'd play a good amount of that Saturday night.... Wow. It's hard to judge a dback when the QB has 10-15 seconds to throw the ball. If the Dline can put more pressure on the QB then I think the secondary will look much improved over what we have seen this year.

It's hard to judge a dback when the QB has 10-15 seconds to throw the ball. If the Dline can put more pressure on the QB then I think the secondary will look much improved over what we have seen this year. True. Most of our sacks have been coverage sacks, which gives more credit to our DB's than what we've been giving. But we need people blowing off the line or blitzing, to cut down the time the QB has, to throw the ball.
