I feel the same as this writer.

It’s incredibly passionate and compelling and I respect Cris Carter for his opinion and his remarkable delivery. But, here’s the thing: I want to watch some football! And I want to talk about football! If I want to see serious discussions about spanking and the psychological damage it causes I’ll watch Lifetime Channel or Oprah’s OWN.

 :lol2:

I have to agree. I think ESPN gets a little carried away, at times, and those guys a little too full of themselves.

Agreed.

I haven't visited espn . com in months and haven't watched Sportscenter in just as long or longer.  I want sports coverage, not social engineering, and I generally find sports writers to be the most self-righteous jerks on the planet.  The orgasmic coverage of Michael Sam and dragging Tony Dungy through the mud for saying he wouldn't have drafted a seventh round talent accompanied by a media circus were the final straws for me.

I have gotten to where I don't watch ESPN as much anymore. Mostly on Saturdays after Gameday because Fowler is just as bad. I watch for the football that comes on. I wonder what their % is on Saturday as during the regular work week? RTR!

I am so glad to see so many people who agree with me and this great article. I quit listening to Cowherd when he started discussing gay marriage and how he was "enlightened" since he supported it and the rest of us, were by implication, just a bunch of knuckle-dragging idiots. It was very condescending towards anyone who did not agree with him. So, one less person listening to him on the radio. I just wish more folks would hit ESPN and these sanctimonious fools where it really hurts, in the pocketbook.

I love the family of ESPN networks. I watch them all the time. We all like like the games and often talk about programs shown on "Storied" or "30 for 30". It is the talking heads shows and Sports Center that I do not ever watch. I have a quick trigger finger when it comes to using my TV remote control.

SC wasn't the same after Keith, Dan, & Craig left.

Agreed. The only things I can tolerate on there are the actual games and the 30 for 30 films.

I still like Gameday, but miss Corso dropping the F-bomb.
