Title: "Fainting Goat Technique:" Post by: bama57 on September 16, 2014, 09:00:41 AM Arkansas State executed one of the strangest, most inexplicable plays in recent college football history against Miami on Saturday.
In the second quarter, Arkansas State ran a fake punt. Instead of running your traditional fake, they had a player act like he died, presumably to divert the defense's attention from the play on the other side of the field (we guess?). It did not work. At all. This dumb azz play design had the guy falling like a dead tree in the middle of the play. The Irish used to have four or five guys flop over on the same play to buy more time. In the late 1950s I think.
