Title: Coach Saban
Post by: bama57 on September 01, 2014, 05:58:46 PM
Since coming to Bama have you ever seen him so calm and content on the sidelines? Is it just me or did he seem more calm and not the screaming and gestures on the sidelines? Is this any indication that everyone is buying into the program and the process or something else?

Hasn't anyone else noticed a change?

I just chuckled when I read your post. Yes, Mrs. J and I noticed it during the game and thought it might have been because CLK was on the sidelines rather than the pressbox, we wondered if anyone else would notice this.

Saban was shadowing Kiffin. He might should have shadowed Kirby.  :lol2:

Just watching CFB Daily on ESPN and Saban had a great quote.  When ask about differences between him and Kiffin, Saban says he is a little more laid back than I am, but who isn't.

I think this is just the calm before the storm, we getting ready , either we got a problem or we are the problem!

He's 62 and has a grandchild now. Plus, even he admits the 2011 tornado had a deep impact on him.

:lol:I noticed it but I thought if this is really happening, then this is not CNS. So, to keep from being embarrassed I just stayed silent.  :lol2: RTR!

I thought it meant we had a championship team this year, but now I'm not sure that's it.  Still lots of work to do.  Could be he's not worried about that this year.

Saban likes it when the players buy in, so that might be it.

Maybe it's being a grandfather.

Or having Kiffin take over the offense.

But yeah, he seems more relaxed.
