For those of you that are asleep, Vanderbilt was charged a time out because their jersey says "Anchor Down" on the back where the name goes.  The penalty is one time out per quarter, and they have the option to change their shirts at the end of each quarter if they don't want to be charged the time out.

They argued with the refs and said their uniform was approved by the head of officials.  They then send somebody to print out a copy of the e-mail documenting the approval.  A few minutes later they come back with the e-mail and show it to the head ref, who then gives the time out back.

Crazy stuff.

If anybody is going to be penalized for crazy uniforms it should be Oregon or Maryland.  :lol:

It looks like Vandy is back to being, well, Vandy.  Several turnovers, sloppy play, they got killed by the Temple Owls, 37-7.   :o

That is so SAD! Temple only won 2 games last year and had 12 return starters. I think Mason was not ready for this job!

I lost on Vandy. I think. USCe really got plowed. Spurrier didn't have to mouth off or through his visor. TA&M took his visor off his head and threw it for him and then they stomped all over it. He should you more mouth time teaching and not telling others how they are wrong or need to  do things. RTR!

Agree. They interviewed him at the half and he came across as not too bright, no energy, & humorless. I don't think anyone is having any fun and he is definitely not into the offense. Vandy was sloppy, disorganized, and lifeless. Expect Vandy to win 3-4 games, maybe.
