“I feel like we’re more talented (than Alabama). We have better players at each position, across the board, especially on defense. It’s going to be a great challenge for us. I know it’s going to be a battle. It’s going to come down to who has the best defense and who makes more turnovers. It’s going to be a battle of the defenses.”

This would make a great sign inside our players locker room.

Agreed! I'd love to get CNS's reaction to this though...

Will they be wearing their black jerseys this time?  I love to see the opposition running their mouth in these big games.  The more he is talking, the less he is listening.  He should be listening to his coaches this week, not running his mouth.  He clearly doesn't understand The Process.

From another thread, but a propos.

I agree that we need a good game from Hubbard.  I like the fact that some of their players are running their mouths.  This bodes well for us in my opinion.

Sometimes, what starts out like this....

Ends up like this........

Sometimes you just get a feeling that team is in the mood to go into someone's house and eat their lunch.

Regardless of truth, it was a stupid comment giving Bama more motivation before the game.

As for the truthfulness, NFL Scouts believe Georgia currently has more NFL ready talent than we do on defense.  This may not have as much to do with talent as VETERAN talent that Georgia has.  However, as already pointed out, our group has performed better.  I'll take Saban over Richt in either case.

These guys are delusional.  It is one thing to have confidence, and even talk trash if you can back it up, but if you look at their defensive stats they are mediocre at best for an SEC team.  Talent (if they have any) doesn't always translate to success on the field.

I saw another naive comment, perhaps by the aforementioned cornerback, along the lines of we were all recruited by Alabama, and the Alabama players were recruited here, so we are all talented.  Maybe so, but I can assure you the instruction received in Tuscaloosa is far superior than that received in Athens.  Even if they started out at a comparable place coming out of high school, a few years in their respective programs will result in a "performance" gap.

good talent + good attitude + good coaching = good players
good talent + bad attitude + coddling = delusional players
