Could Chizik return this week to the place of his greatest triumph just in time to make his last stand?

The answer is still at least a week from coming out, with Auburn president Jay Gogue refusing to evaluate the Tigers’ football program — and Chizik’s future in it — until after the season.

Either way, Chizik has 2010.

“It was a great day,” Chizik said. “It was a very fun day. It was obviously a memory that will last forever for everybody. It was very unique and hadn’t probably happened very much over the test of time with anybody that has gone into that stadium. It was great for our fans. It was great for our coaches and players. Obviously, the rest of the season was history.

“That was a great day.”

This ain't gonna be no Re-peat coach. You can live in the past if you like, but it won't really matter now will it....

The same might be said if us. This will not be won by a team with its head up its past.
