I'm not sure what to think about one of my favorite football players who was such a great role model while at Bama.  I remember reading about the charge a few months ago, but thought it had gone away.

I hate to say it, but he is definetly into thug activity. Plus, he got off easy with a 6 month sentence.



Tapscott alleged McClain and Willingham jumped him when he arrived at a house he was invited to on Nov. 30. He claimed he refused to fight but was repeatedly punched and kicked, leaving him with a broken nose, mild concussion and cracked ribs.

I don't get it. He is set financially for life and he goes and does something stupid. Ro needs to get his life in order before something else happens.

I watched the video that was posted on WA from the Decatur newspaper. RM was not the perp from what I saw, but was present when the accuser attacked the guy that was with RM. The accuser initiated the fight with the other guy. I saw nothing to incriminate RM. I went to WA to retrieve that video, but now you have to subscribe to get it. I call BS.

Rolando had a pretty rough life growing up in Decatur and got in trouble at times.  He had a poor relationship with his parents and lived with several families while in high school.  While at Alabama, he seemed to have risen above his unstable past.  I sure hoped he had.

We have thugs at BAMA just like every other university.

I live in Decatur and go to church with McClain's HS Coach. He says McClain needs to leave Decatur and never come back. He grew up in a bad part of town and his best friends are thugs.Ffootball has given him a way out. He needs to take advantage of it.

My guess is he grew up on Sunset Drive in the Northwest part of town. No problem with him going to Decatur, but he has to grow up and stay away from this "homies." Otherwise, he will end up like Michael Vick, Ray Lewis, or Rae Carruth, God forbid.

The video shows more than the press is reporting.  It does appear that the accuser starts something with the other defendant, and that guys knocks the accuser to the ground and starts punching him.  Someone, or maybe more than one person including Ro, tries to pull the guy off the accuser.  The video doesn't show anything about a gun, so we don't know if/how that happened.  It could be that Ro was included in the complaint because he is the guy with money to play a civil damages verdict.  Perhaps it is a case of guilt by association.

Exactly!!! McLain had problems at Bama but CNS and staff was able control most of it. Now he has no one to look after him and I wouldn't be a bit surprised to see him facing another Judge somewhere down the road.

I get the Rae Carruth, but turning out like Vick and Lewis?  They did a pretty good job of bouncing back... Jmo
