The SEC Softball Tourament started today. Florida beat LSU 1-0 in the first game. Tenn plays the barn in game 2 starting at 1:30. UGA plays UK at 4:00. All of the day games are on ESPNU. Alabama plays Miss St at 7:00 on ESPN.

The Tournament is being played at beautiful Rhoads Stadium on the campus of the University of Alabama.

Tenn leads the barn 1-0. The game is in the 6th.

Tenn scores an insurance run in the bottom of the 6th. They lead 2-0 with the barn coming to bat in the top of the 7th.

Tenn beats the barn 2-1.

UGA plays UK next.

UGA scores 2 runs in the bottom of the 1st to take a 2-0 lead over UK.

UGA scores 4 more in the 2nd to take a 6-0 lead over UK.

WOW! First, almost turned a double play, but onbly got the lead runner at 2nd. Then had a double play from left field to retire the side. Again,--WOW!

Locke with a huge at bat in first. Fouls off half a dozen before putting a sacrifice fly out to the warning track. 2 out now, runners on 2nd and 3rd. Side retired. :(

A bad call strike 2 on Hunt set up that strike out, than Traina rips the ball to the right fielder for the 3rd out. MSU better thank their lucky stars in that inning.

Traina drilled a girl of color dead in the azz, but still 0-0 going to the btm of 2nd.

Miss St pitcher, long legged Hannah from Butte Montana, throws one up and hits the hot dog guy. She gets pulled. BAMA already into their rotation. LOL

BTM of 3rd. Bama with runners on corners --no outs. Now at 2nd and 3rd. Locke at the plate.

Tide scores 1. No outs-- runners 1st and 3rd.

In the 1st with the same runners on, Locke almost hit it out & we ended up with nothing. This inning, same scenario & Locke hits a dribbler that scores Braud & everybody is safe.

Bama scores 2 more -- 3-0 Bama. Runner on first , 0 outs, top of the order up---RTR!

Walk. Runners on 1st and 2nd. 0 outs. 2nd pitching change.

Broccia bunts safe-- bases loaded-- no outs.  Lungsford pops out. 1 away.

Hays strikes out. 2 away-- bases loaded.

Another strikeout. That was the inning we could have blown it open, 3-0, bases loaded & nobody out and we don't score again.

Should have been the dagger.

The long Bama half of the 3rd seems to have thrown off Traina rhythm. 1 down now. We'll see.

Yes. The game starts at 12:00. They kept saying during yesterday's game it was 1:00 and it did not register with me that was 1:00 EST.

What a great way to win the tournament.

Jamos and I talked prior to the game and both thought Bama would have to score a lot of runs today, since Triana was not pitching.

Well we scored a bunch, with some timely hitting by Lunceford, Hunt, and Dawson.

But the hero of the day was Amanda Locke who silenced the powewrful bats of the gators.  Their only run was on base via of an infield error.  Amanda did not give up an earned run.

Congratulations Ladies you are indeed Champions.

Great to spend time with Jamos and double nickle.
