Former Arkansas football coach Bobby Petrino tried to sidestep University of Arkansas guidelines to quickly hire his mistress, Jessica Dorrell, as the team's player development coordinator, according to documents obtained by SI.com. The documents show that Petrino sought a waiver to circumvent a university affirmative action policy requiring that the job be posted for at least 30 days before interviews could commence. Dorrell's first interview was scheduled even before the waiver was granted by the university's Office of Equal Opportunity and Compliance.

Once it is determined that she won't sue the university for sexual harassment and EEO violations, she'll be gone too.

I was hoping someone would interview him, just for us readers sake. This whole story seems like something you would see on tv. The show Dallas comes to mind, should we call Petrino J.R from now on.

If there are any EEO violations, it will be for those folks who were WAY more qualified for the job than her. Her experience was roughly nothing, other folks were hugely qualified. The AD is just as guilty as Petrino in this situation, it was obvious the woman was unqualified and it was simply the person Petrino wanted to hire, no matter the lack of qualifications. I wonder if the media is going to pick up on this and start asking the AD some VERY tough questions?

You make a good point MD, the AD did turn a blind eye on the hiring.  But it was a relatively minor position on Petrino's staff, so they just let him hire who he wanted. 

Fiancee is no longer empolyed at Arky. I don't know if this is by his choice or theirs ( I have heard both). What I want to know is, when did Bobby "gift her" the $20K? Was it after the wreck as hush money, or beofre? Because it it was before, we all know what that makes her...

BINGO!! However, for someone who was applying it might have been a good pay increase or a good oppurtunity to move up later in the Athletic Department. That's why the job should have been monitored properly. I bet Petrino pushed to have this job created for his bimbo, knowing he could get her the job.

The position apparently required travel with Petrino.  So it could have been a newly created position.   ;)

I'm sure she knew what her position under Petrino was.
