Great Story and thanks for sharing.  I wish the young lady the best and my prayers are with her.  As far as Trent, this is a great event and another great way to add to his legacy at the UA.  Hopefully, he will continue to realize what a positive impact he can be for the youth of today.  Hopefully, more athletes will follow in his footsteps and be a positive influence.

We are certainly praying for the young lady. I must say The Class of Trent is top of the line. God Bless them both. RTR!

There will be another athlete in attendance that night and hopefully he can watch and get a grasp on what being a class act is, but for some reason I doubt it. I don't know of very many class acts from Florida State.  ;)

Jamos - Maybe the young man going to Fl. State will learn by example.  He's just in high school - don't write him off yet.

As for Trent - he is such a class act that nothing he does surprises me.  I sing his praises at every chance.

I still follow another Alabama teammate, Terrence Cody, who I consider another class act.

I am so pleased to see sports figures who are such positive role-models for us all.

Ya know. it doesn't even bother me that ESPN is sending a camera crew to cover the prom date.  Still a wonderful, sweet story.  Way to go Trent and Courtney and ROLL TIDE!!!   #+

Trent embodies everything CNS preaches. Class and character. I know Coach Bryant would have loved to have him on one if his teams as well. What a representative for THE University!

The more I hear about TR, the more I realize just how much of a stand up young man he is. Kudos to him from brightening this young girl's life, but even more prayers and best wishes to Courtney as she continues her courageous fight.

TR is all class. He shows it on and off the field. That is why he placed his hands in cement today. A man who leads by example.

Some ESPN reporter named Jamison Hensley had this to say:

Quote
Teams are always looking hard at a player's character, especially ones taken high in the draft like Richardson. He has two daughters (ages 5 and 3), who live with their mother. He also can come across cocky in interviews.

Forgive me for using such bad language, but what in the h-e-double hockey sticks has that got to do with TR taking this young girl to her prom? This guy is worse than a hack; he is a Scarbinski-ite.

But on Saturday night, 12 days before the draft, Richardson is proving to be a good guy.

:tinfoil:  Yeah, how dare he call Richardson a good guy  ???
